Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail setting.
• Strong accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry with Kroll.
• Understanding of Pharmacare/insurance billing processes.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; team-oriented.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care.
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner.
• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under supervision.
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to protocols.
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments; monitor inventory levels.
• Keep the pharmacy area clean; dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning; assist with insurance claims and transfers.
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and other duties as assigned.
