Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Victoria, BC, is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to join the University Heights Pharmacy team. You will process prescriptions, enter patient data, and manage stock while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and friendly service.

The role emphasizes clear communication with the pharmacist and patients, attention to billing details, and contributing to a positive, community-focused pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years of dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive written prescriptions and refill requests, both written and verbal.
• Input patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Order, receive, and reconcile stock, check expiries and adjust inventory.
• Adhere to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicate allergy, interaction and billing information to the pharmacist.
