Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant L2 in Oakville to support a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. You will assist with preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries and support daily operations per Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

You will work with Kroll Pharmacy software, engage in third-party adjudications, and maintain patient confidentiality while delivering excellent customer service.

• Deliver prescription labels to production ahead of delivery times.
• Consult with registered pharmacists for complex situations.

Job description

CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant L2 with Kroll pharmacy software experience to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Role Accountabilities:

• Entering new prescriptions and client information to be filled within Kroll Pharmacy software
• Process refill prescriptions within Kroll Pharmacy software
• Responding to phone inquiries from nurses providing strong customer service
• Conduct third-party adjudications required for prescription billing
• Ensure adherence to order cut-off times to achieve timely task completion
• Deliver prescription labels to the production department ahead of scheduled delivery times
• Proactively seek guidance from registered pharmacy professionals in navigating complex situations
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards and protect personal and organizational informationOther duties will be assigned as required for business needs within the Pharmacy Assistant scope of responsibilities

What You Will Bring to The Team:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred, but not required
• Excellent working knowledge of Kroll and eMAR systems (Point Click Care, Catalyst, Med E Care)
• Competency with Microsoft Office software
• Demonstrated ability to operate PACMed and PACVision machines
• Excellent visual acuity, numeracy, detail orientation and ability to multi-task
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation Range: $19-23/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
Location: This is on-site role at our Oakville location.

Shifts: Monday-Friday 5.30pm-10.30pm, Saturday 9am-9pm, Sunday 9am-5pm
