Job summary

CareRx in London, Ontario is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant L2 with Kroll pharmacy software experience to support a group of long-term care homes and retirement communities.

You will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with Pharmacy Standards of Practice, and you will respond to nursing inquiries with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited program preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Kroll and eMAR systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with PACMed and PACVision is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality of information.

Responsibilities

• Enter new prescriptions and client information in Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Process refill prescriptions within Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nurses with strong customer service.
• Conduct third-party adjudications required for prescription billing.
• Ensure adherence to order cut-off times to achieve timely task completion.
• Deliver prescription labels to the production department ahead of scheduled delivery times.
• Proactively seek guidance from registered pharmacy professionals for complex situations.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards and protect information.
• Other duties as required for business needs within the Pharmacy Assistant scope.

Role Accountabilities:

• Other duties will be assigned as required for business needs within the Pharmacy Assistant scope of responsibilities

What You Will Bring to The Team:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred, but not required
• Excellent working knowledge of Kroll and eMAR systems (Point Click Care, Catalyst, Med E Care)
• Competency with Microsoft Office software
• Demonstrated ability to operate PACMed and PACVision machines
• Excellent visual acuity, numeracy, detail orientation and ability to multi-task
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation Range: $19 - $23/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
Location: This is on‑site role at our London Pharmacy at 112 Newbold Court, and follows a five‑day workweek with participation in on‑call rotation for weekends.
