Job summary

FreshCo Pharmacy in British Columbia seeks a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists with prescription assembly, data entry, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle in-person and phone refill requests, promote Profile programs, and contribute to compounding, pill pack assembly, and inventory tasks while maintaining accuracy and patient focus.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prescriptions and enter data.
• Process customer transactions (prescriptions).
• Handle in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
