Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescription requests).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Understand and promote pharmacy programs.
• File prescriptions, order and replenish supplies, and clean.
• Create drug orders and receive, compound and assemble pill packs.
• Schedule professional clinical services.
• Assist the pharmacist with dispensary tasks within scope.
• Behind the counter management, cycle counts, narcotic counts, stock returns, tall man lettering, and manual third parties.

• Drug order creation and receiving, compounding and pill pack assembly


• Scheduling professional clinical services


• Behind the counter management, cycle counts, narcotic counts, stock returns, tall man lettering, manual third parties


• Assisting the pharmacist with dispensary tasks as permitted by scope

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute


• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset


• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment


• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
