Job summary

Safeway Winnipeg is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable pharmacy assistant to join our team and support patient-centered care in a busy community setting.

You will handle prescription assembly, data entry, refill requests, and drug order processing while promoting Profile programs and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription data entry and assembly.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Handle in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g., medication reviews, health risk assessments).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties.
• Adhere to company standards and assist with other pharmacy operations.

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
