Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Canada seeks a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions, assist with pharmacy services, and help maintain daily pharmacy operations while delivering friendly service.

You will greet customers, gather prescription details, refer clinical questions to the pharmacist, and assist with data entry, billing and paperwork in line with Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer to the pharmacist for clinical inquiries.
• Process prescriptions and manage cash/register processes.
• Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts.
• Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary.
• Assist pharmacist in coordinating call backs and documentation.
