Pharmacy Assistant – Winnipeg – Healthcare (Full-Time, Permanent)

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Assistant looking for a long-term career outside of retail? Our pharmacy client in Winnipeg, part of a national network, is hiring for a full-time, permanent position. This is an excellent chance to join a professional, closed-door pharmacy focused on patient care, offering stable Monday-Friday daytime shifts, scheduled in advance with potential for overtime.

You'll work in a bright, clean, and supportive office style environment, with opportunities for internal promotion and career growth within a large team. To be set-up for success, you should have 2+ years' experience supporting mid-to-high volume prescription entry and patient service in a Kroll-based, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
  • Enter prescriptions in Kroll with accuracy and efficiency
  • Complete third party billing and adjudication through public and private providers, calling providers to resolve problems
  • Support the prescription filling process by picking, labeling, and preparing medications
  • Communicate internally via email/Teams and assist with coordination of deliveries
  • Assist with pharmacy inventory: receiving, stocking, and tracking medications
  • Prepare and verify waybills and shipping details for outbound prescription deliveries
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in a fast-paced, team setting
  • Maintain pharmacy records and assist with general housekeeping or administrative duties
  • Potential to lift packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods as needed
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of pharmacy experience in a high-volume setting (Kroll-based – strong data entry / intake / adjudication experience)
  • Strong working knowledge of Kroll prescription software
  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM or higher (testing may be administered)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Teams) preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, structured team environment
  • Eager to learn and grow with a company that values your pharmacy expertise
  • Available to start ASAP; if currently employed, your 2–3 week notice period will be respected
