Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our Campbellford team. This role supports pharmacists and technicians, assists with entering labels, stocking shelves, and handling clerical tasks while ensuring patient-centered care in our community pharmacy.

Shifts total 24 to 28 hours per week, with evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Experience in retail pharmacy preferred; familiarity with Kroll is an asset; a pharmacy assistant program is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in retail is preferred.
• Proficiency with Kroll and accurate prescription data entry is an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Job Description

Rx Drug Mart Campbellford is looking for apart-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Campbellford, Ontario.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
• Proficiency with Kroll, along with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry, is considered an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

• 24 to 28 hours per week (Part-time)
• The store operates Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts, including daytime, opening, closing, and weekend shifts, based on operational needs.
