Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Prince George, BC is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists in delivering patient-centred care and community health.

You will input prescription data, handle stock, and assist customers while maintaining accuracy and friendly service. The role includes frequent collaboration with the pharmacist and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong work ethic and team player.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions and refill requests and input into computer.
• Manage stock: ordering, receiving, expiry checks, returns, and inventory corrections.
• Communicate allergy, interaction and billing information to the pharmacist.
• Follow merchandising, procedures, and company policies.
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide care.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our Hart Highway location in Prince George, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$19.00 - $23.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
