Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at the Sunwood location in Coquitlam, BC. You will process prescriptions, input data into the computer, manage stock and inventory, and assist the pharmacist with allergy and billing communications.

The role requires completion of an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program or 2 years of dispensary experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive team attitude.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or equivalent dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and customer-focused attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive written prescriptions and refill requests, verbally or in writing.
• Input patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Manage stock: order, receive, return, check expiry, and adjust inventory.
• Follow merchandising programs, procedures, and company policies.
• Communicate allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.
