Neighbourly Pharmacy in Langley, BC, is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join Pharmasave - Walnut Grove. The role starts as approx. 30 hours per week with a path to full-time.

You will support pharmacists, greet customers, assist with entering and labeling prescriptions, manage inventory, and help with daily operations. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred
• At least one year of pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care

• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments; monitor inventory and rotate stock
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning; assist with insurance claims and transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and other duties as assigned

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Pharmasave - Walnut Grove in Langley, BC.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred
• At least one year of previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

• Approx. 30 hours/week with the potential to transition to full‑time in the future
• Store hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
