Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Pharmacist for our Residential Care Division based at the Script Care Central Fill Pharmacy. You will provide pharmaceutical services to patients in continuing care facilities and collaborate with care teams.

The ideal candidate holds a BC Pharmacist licence in good standing, has at least 1 year of pharmacist experience (long-term care or specialty pharmacy a plus), injection certification, and proficiency with Kroll and other pharmacy software.

Qualifications

• BC Pharmacist licence in good standing with BC College of Pharmacists.
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; long-term care or specialty pharmacy a plus.
• Injection certification.
• Proficiency with Pharmacy Software solutions, preferably Kroll.
• Completion of OAT-CAMPP training or the P-OAT Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Providing pharmaceutical services to patients in continuing care facilities.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Participating in dispensing and checking prescriptions.
• Supervising pharmacy assistants and registered pharmacy technicians as required.
• Participating in the on-call rotation for after-hours consultation to our contracted homes.
• Providing medical information and counselling to patients, care providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Remaining current on latest trends in the pharmacy industry.

$48.00 - $51.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
