Job summary

Pattison Food Group's Save-On-Foods division in Burnaby, BC is hiring a Pharmacist for our Residential Care Division. The role supports patient-centred care in continuing care facilities and ensures compliance with regulations while contributing to quality, community health, and safe medication use.

You will collaborate with care teams, supervise pharmacy staff, participate in after-hours on-call rotations, and provide information and counselling to patients and providers. licensure required.

Qualifications

• BC Pharmacist licence in good standing with BC College of Pharmacists.
• Minimum 1 year pharmacist experience; long term care or specialty pharmacy asset.
• Injection certification required.
• Proficient with Pharmacy Software, preferably Kroll.
• Completion of OAT-CAMPP training or P-OAT Training Program.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing pharmaceutical services to patients in continuing care facilities.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Participating in dispensing and checking of prescriptions.
• Supervising pharmacy assistants and registered pharmacy technicians as required.
• Participating in the on-call rotation for after-hours consultation to our contracted homes.
• Providing medical information and counselling to patients, care providers, and other healthcare professionals.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing pharmaceutical services to patients in continuing care facilities.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Remaining current on latest trends in the pharmacy industry.

You have:

• A BC Pharmacist licence and are in good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists.

IND11 Compensation Details: $48.00 - $51.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
