Job description

Join to apply for the Pharmacist, Pharmacy Services role at St. Joseph's Health Care London.

Location: Pharmacy Services, St. Joseph's Hospital - London, ON

Type: Temporary Full Time

Salary Range: $57.10 - $67.14 /hour

This temporary assignment is anticipated to extend to October 30, 2026, subject to the availability of work.

St. Joseph's Health Care London's Pharmacy Department provides care across all St. Joseph's sites, including hospital, long-term care, mental health, and community pharmacies. The department also welcomes learners year-round.

This position primarily involves working as an ambulatory clinic pharmacist at St. Joseph's Hospital, focusing on short-stay surgery and complex chronic disease management. Responsibilities include pharmacy distribution, collaborating with clinicians, and providing pharmaceutical care in ambulatory and perioperative settings. Clinical duties include identifying and resolving drug therapy problems, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, patient education, and supporting the healthcare team.

Note: This position includes on-call responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Minimum 2 years relevant hospital or community pharmacy experience
  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Knowledge of Safety Culture in Healthcare and OHSA compliance
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Professional judgment, initiative, customer focus, conflict resolution skills, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Cerner/OneChart
  • Proficiency in French
  • Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Residency Program
Teaching and Research

As part of Western University and Fanshawe College affiliations, employees are expected to engage in teaching and research activities related to their role.

Immunization Requirements
  • Vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza
  • Documentation of Tuberculosis skin testing
