We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate part-time Pharmacist to join our team on a fulltime basis. Job Summary:

As a Pharmacist, your primary responsibilities will include dispensing medications, offering patient counseling, and ensuring medications are used safely and effectively, in compliance with provincial regulations. You will work alongside healthcare providers to ensure patients receive the best possible care and have access to the necessary resources for maintaining and improving their health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications as prescribed, following established protocols and provincial guidelines.
  • Provide patients with clear, accurate information regarding medication usage, dosages, side effects, interactions, and lifestyle considerations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure individualized and comprehensive care for patients.
  • Conduct thorough medication reviews and offer therapeutic recommendations to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Monitor and manage the medication therapy of patients with chronic conditions, ensuring their safety and efficacy.
  • Provide clinical services such as health screenings, immunizations, and other health initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure patient records are maintained accurately and in compliance with privacy laws and provincial regulations.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, place medication orders, and ensure proper storage and handling of all pharmaceutical products.
  • Stay updated on the latest healthcare guidelines, drug developments, and continuing education opportunities.
  • May supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff.

Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in British Columbia (College of Pharmacists of British Columbia).
  • 2+ years experience as a Pharmacist.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology, therapeutics, and patient care practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Proven experience working in a pharmacy setting (community, hospital, or clinical).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Certification in immunization administration.
  • Familiarity with working with diverse patient populations.
  • Knowledge of provincial healthcare programs and insurance coverage.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software (Kroll) and technology.
  • Fluency in Cantonese is preferred.

What We Offer:

  • $40/hr-$50/hr – depending on experience.
