A leading organization in Alberta is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide expert support to its members regarding pharmacy benefits and operations. This permanent, full-time position involves collaborating with pharmacy staff and ensuring compliance with health standards while managing pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD and have experience in community or hospital pharmacy.
Staff Pharmacist (Permanent, Full-time) Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Services, based out of ARTA’s head office in Edmonton, the Staff Pharmacist will serve as an expert resource providing direct support to ARTA members and the Member Services team. They will answer complex questions regarding the ARTA prescription plan pricing, policies, and programs. The Pharmacist will collaborate with pharmacy staff on dispensary operations and strategic health programs, ensuring high-quality service to ARTA members.

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD, with authorization for drug administration and additional prescribing authority. Prior experience in community or hospital pharmacy, familiarity with pharmacy automation, and proficiency in KROLL are assets. Due to the vulnerable population served, employees are encouraged to follow public health recommendations, including vaccinations, though vaccination is not mandatory.
