Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the Pharmacy operations while on duty, provide consultations to customers and health care providers, and dispense medication within the full scope of professional services.

You will ensure privacy compliance, proper documentation, and collaboration with the health care circle to deliver high-quality patient care. Strong customer service and professional communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Independent thinking and decision making in pharmacy scenarios.
• Plan, coordinate and delegate assignments and provide coaching to Pharmacy colleagues.
• Proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example and support enterprise programs.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and professional interactions.
• Strong problem-solving skills including action planning and follow-through.
• Strong computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy and provide counselling on prescriptions and OTC products.
• Ensure compliance with federal/provincial requirements and privacy guidelines.
• Maintain records in accordance with legislation and standards.
• Communicate with other health care professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Manage dispensing accuracy and support in professional services.
• Maintain a professional image of the Pharmacy and assist in operations and inventory controls.
