Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the Pharmacy operations on duty, provide consultations to customers and health care providers, and dispense medications to support patient care within regulatory scope.

The role emphasizes full-scope practice, privacy compliance, and maintaining documentation while delivering exceptional customer service and building community trust.

Qualifications

• Independent thinking and decision making when addressing issues or problems.
• Plan, coordinate and delegate assignments and provide coaching to Pharmacy staff.
• Proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example and support enterprise programs.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy.
• Counsel on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
• Ensure all privacy requirements are met and consent managed.
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.
• Communicate with other health care professionals to provide patient care.
• Maintain records in accordance with legislation and SOPs.
• Review stock, inventory and workflow queues daily.
• Oversight of stock levels and medication orders from wholesalers.
