Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Ontario is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the Pharmacy operations while on duty, provide consultations to customers and health care providers, practice to full scope in providing professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in the maintenance of the dispensary.

You will ensure privacy, counsel on prescriptions, and collaborate with other health care professionals to deliver patient care, while maintaining documentation and health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty, including providing consultation to customers and health care providers, and dispensing medication.
• Practice to full scope with Professional Services, within your capability.
• Ensure privacy requirements are met and maintain customer confidentiality and consent management.
• Counsel on prescriptions and over the counter products; ensure accuracy of all prescriptions dispensed.
• Communicate with other health care professionals to provide customer care and maintain records as required.
• Control access to dispensary, review workflow queues, and oversee stock levels and medication orders.
