Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the Pharmacy operations while on duty, including dispensing medications and counselling customers and health care providers.

You will work to full scope with professional Services, maintain records, oversee workflow and inventory, and collaborate with the care team to deliver exceptional patient care in a community-focused environment.

• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems a definite asset.

• Complete mandatory training and voluntary continuing education workshops, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling on prescriptions, over the counter/behind the counter products.
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.
• Communicate with other health care professionals to provide customer care.
• Maintain all records required in accordance with legislation, standards and policy.
• Control access to the dispensary and oversee inventory and stock levels.
• Review workflow queues and stock to identify expired items.
• Ensure documentation and control of substances meet regulatory requirements.
• Involve with financial reports and action store communications.
