Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy role to manage daily pharmacy operations, dispense medications, and provide counselling to customers and healthcare providers. The incumbent will ensure privacy, accuracy of prescriptions, and collaboration with other health professionals.

The position emphasizes handling inventory, maintaining records, and adhering to regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional customer service within a community-focused store.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty and dispensing medication.
• Provide consultation to customers and health care providers; practice to full scope in professional services.
• Support privacy requirements and consent management; maintain confidentiality.
• Counsel on prescriptions and over-the-counter products and expand scope with Professional Services.
• Be clearly identifiable to the public and ensure accuracy of all dispensed prescriptions.
• Communicate with health care professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain required records as per legislation, standards and policy.
• Oversee workflow and inventory, stock levels, and orders from wholesalers.
• Ensure documentation and control of substances under applicable regulations and reporting.
