Job summary

Avena Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Canadian community pharmacy to recruit a Pharmacist in Vernon. The role offers a full-time permanent position with a compensation package of CAD 148,000 and comprehensive benefits.

You will provide safe dispensing, patient counselling, and clinical pharmacy services, working with a collaborative team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while expanding scope services.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in British Columbia or eligible for licensure.
• Previous community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and fast-paced pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate, and patient-focused prescription dispensing and medication management.
• Provide patient counselling and support patients in understanding and managing their medications.
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services, including medication reviews, chronic disease management, and expanded scope services.
• Build strong relationships with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers within the community.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes and support the ongoing development of pharmacy services.
