Purpose:

The Pharmacist contributes to the pharmacy's operations by assisting with dispensing, patient counseling, and order review. They also help lead the pharmacy by maintaining efficient workflows and training new staff.

Hourly, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities:

1. Providing pharmaceutical care and dispensing services
2. Handling new orders, data entry, sterile compounding (if applicable), patient counseling, and clinical reviews
3. Collaborating with clinicians and Care Coordinators on prescription issues
4. Ensuring prescription accuracy and managing third-party billing
5. Documenting interventions and liaising with healthcare professionals
6. Training staff and assisting the Pharmacy Manager
7. Supervising the pharmacy team to ensure workflow efficiency
8. Participating in on-call rotations
9. Working evening and weekend hours as required
10. Researching infusion admixture compatibility and stability

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience
2. Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
3. Registered to administer injections with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
4. Experience with Kroll is an asset
5. Experience with sterile compounding is an asset (if applicable)
