Job summary

PCI Pharma Services is seeking a Packaging Technician in Mississauga, Canada. The role involves performing manual packaging for clinical and commercial products, ensuring adherence to SOPs, GMP practices, and accurate production output.

Responsibilities include inspecting labels, counting quantities, signing into production orders in the ERP, and assisting QA during in-process inspections. Weekend or overtime work may be required as part of shifts.

Qualifications

• Follows SOPs and GMP practices and packaging procedures.
• Reads packaging procedures prior to each job.
• Performs manual packaging tasks for clinical and commercial products.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to SOP requirements, GMP practices and job specific packaging procedures.
• Reads and understands packaging procedures prior to each job.
• Performs a variety of manual tasks associated with the packaging of pharmaceutical products for both clinical and commercial jobs.
• Monitors production output for quality and accuracy.
• Counts product and confirms issued quantities.
• Inspects labels and foils for print correctness, expiry dates, lot numbers and legibility of print.
• Identifies quality issues and notifies Line Leader/Shift Lead/Production Manager for action.
• Lends assistance to QA with in-process inspection when required.
• May assist in picking materials for job runs.
• Uses Tropo's ERP system to sign into production orders and track man hours.
• Cleans and maintains packaging room.
• Overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
• Adheres to PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies and attendance requirements.
