Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. in Canada is seeking a Line Inspector, Quality Assurance to perform regular QA inspections during packaging and compounding operations, ensuring first-time quality and compliance with cGMP.

Responsibilities include line clearances, documentation review, incident reporting, sample handling, and coaching to improve GMP behavior in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role supports continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years QA/QC experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferred QA experience within the production/manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Perform routine QA inspections on the packaging lines.
• Provide Line Clearance certification and re-certification to production floor
• Ensure day-to-day compliance of compounding and packaging activities with GMP requirements
• Review batch documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Initiate incident reports and perform initial floor investigations
• Coordinate investigations with the QA team to close out issues
• Collect representative samples for testing and retention; submit to lab
• Maintain sample and retention records
• Communicate discrepancies to QA Manager and other departments
• Provide coaching to packaging staff to improve RFT and documentation practices
• Prepare and update SOPs/Forms/WIs in areas of responsibility
• Oversee GMP observations and temperature monitoring in GMP areas
