Job summary

Septodont, a global leader in dental products, is seeking a Lead Hand 1 at our Cambridge, Ontario site. You will oversee equipment operation, maintenance, and shift-related supply levels while training staff and ensuring GMP compliance.

This role reports to Production Supervisor and emphasizes documentation accuracy and safety. The position requires 1 year in pharmaceutical manufacturing, leadership ability, and flexibility to work weekend night shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to positively interact with interdepartmental teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates shift changeovers to ensure machinery and staff are optimal.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Performs the operator’s duties when needed.
• Ensures availability of components and supplies.
• Rectifies documentation errors and coaches operators on practices.
• Keeps area clean and organized.
• Supports other departments when required.
• Manages QA deviations and other procedures.
