Job summary

Pet Valu Canada Inc. in Whitecourt, Alberta is seeking a Keyholder to assist with store operations and customer service.

You will support cashiering, stock control, and daily opening/closing procedures, while upholding safety and service standards. The role requires at least 2 years' retail or customer service experience, a working knowledge of a POS system, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable means of transportation to and from the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items into stock in the sales area of the store.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles of cases and bags of pet food and supplies and putting these into stock.
• Open and close the store following company procedures.
• Assign daily goals and tasks as needed when managers are away.
• Other duties and tasks as required
