Job summary

Career Junction is seeking an animal hospital assistant in Canada to bathe and shampoo animals, document and monitor behaviour, and assist with treatment. The role requires 1–2 years in a related field and strong customer service skills.

You will handle feeding, cleaning, inventory, and basic medical equipment setup in a fast-paced environment, contributing to team goals and the well-being of animal patients.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 1–2 years of experience in animal care or veterinary support.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Bathe and shampoo animals.
• Document animal behaviour.
• Monitor animal behaviour.
• Prepare food and feed animals.
• Clean and disinfect cages, pens, kennels and enclosures.
• Assist with inoculation and treatment of animals.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Provide customer service.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing and assembling medical equipment.
