Job summary

Pet Valu is hiring a Sales Associate in Campbell River, BC. You will help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and other pet care solutions, work with a team of Pet Experts, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role involves cashier duties, stock replenishment, light merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness. Weekend/evening shifts and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work as scheduled, including weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area.
• Cleaning: sweeping, dusting and general store maintenance.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and stocking items (up to 50 lbs).
• Other duties as required.
