Job summary

Pet Valu is seeking a Sales Associate at our Halifax, NS location. You will assist Pet Parents with product recommendations, process transactions, and help maintain a welcoming store environment.

The role requires prior retail or customer service experience, comfort with a POS system, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible scheduling, training, and staff discounts are among the perks offered by Pet Valu.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other paperwork.
• Placing small items into stock in the sales area of the store.
• Store maintenance: sweeping and dusting.
• Unloading delivery vehicles and stocking items (up to 50 lbs).
• Other duties as required.
