Job summary

Pet Valu Canada Inc. in Bedford, NS is seeking a Sales Associate to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and pet supplies. You will be part of a friendly team of Pet Experts, providing friendly service and accurate product guidance in a busy retail environment.

You bring retail or customer service experience, a reliable set of transportation means, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Shifts are mostly evenings and weekends, with holiday season availability and on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Shifts will be mostly evenings and weekends.
• Must be available over the holiday season.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other paperwork.
• Stocking small items into sales area.
• Store cleaning and general maintenance.
• Unloading deliveries and stocking items (up to 50 lbs).
• Other duties as required.
