Job summary

Pet Valu Canada Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to help Pet Parents choose the right nutrition and supplies in-store while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. You’ll join a team of Pet Experts committed to pets, families, and local shelter partnerships.

This role includes cashiering, stocking, processing orders, banking tasks, and general store maintenance. Candidates should be reliable, able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and available for weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Flexible scheduling incl. weekends/evenings.
• Working knowledge of POS system.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area of the store.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles of cases and bags of pet food and supplies and putting these into stock (items up to 50 lbs).
• Other duties and tasks as required.
