Job summary

Pet Valu in Toronto is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and pet supplies while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will work as part of a knowledgeable team, handle cashiering and stock duties, enjoy flexible scheduling, and participate in ongoing training with one of North America’s leading pet retailers.

Reliable transportation and weekend/evening availability are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work as scheduled, including weekends and evenings.
• Reliable means of transportation to the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area of the store.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking items (up to 50 lbs).
• Other duties as required.
