Job summary

The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is a registered charity providing care and support for animals across Ontario. As a Customer Care Representative you will handle reception, emails, and social media, while guiding donors, volunteers and the public through adoption processes and program information.

You will support the foster program, assist with adoptions, and contribute to a compassionate, human-centered team focused on animal welfare and community support.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 18 kg (40 lbs) and handle larger dogs up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Open availability including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Previous clerical experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Animal Care credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and collect client information to understand needs.
• Provide adoption counselling and respond to inquiries; assist with adoptions.
• Support donors and volunteers with inquiries and program information.
• Ensure adoptive families understand animal needs and follow-up care requirements.
• Assist with fostering program and office duties including record-keeping.
