Qualifications

• Valid PSW certificate is required.
• RN or RPN not required but considered if available.
• Developmental Support Worker Diploma is a plus.
• Driver’s license and own vehicle are required for travel between clients.
• Immunization (MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus) and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)


• RN or RPN


• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)


• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma


• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required


• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, and Tetanus


• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)


• Current Standard CPR level C certificate


• Availability to work 11:00pm-7:00am every other Saturday and Sunday


• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
