Job summary

SE Health is hiring Part Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care in Hamilton and surrounding areas. The role involves patient-focused home care support with travel between clients. A valid PSW certificate, and potentially RN/RPN credentials, are required.

Availability for night shifts on alternate Saturdays and Sundays is noted. The employer offers mileage reimbursement and support with education bursaries.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver's license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements - MMR, Varicella, TB, and Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate
• Availability to work11:00pm-7:00am every other Saturday and Sunday
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
