Choice Homecare/Healthcare in Ottawa is seeking compassionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide in-home client care and participate in care planning with the nurse manager. Candidates should be certified PSWs (or equivalent) with at least one year of experience and be able to work across mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

A valid police check and a driver’s license with access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to provide care in home settings across Ottawa.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, assisting with daily activities, personal care, assisting with mobility, light housekeeping, effective reporting and creating activity plans.

Choice Homecare/Healthcare requires candidates who:

• Are Certified Personal Support Workers or equivalent (HSW, HCA, RPN, RN, foreign trained health professional) with minimum one year experience
• Are proficientin communicatingin English (verbal and written)
• Are able to provide care in home settings anywhere within the city of Ottawa
• Have a valid police vulnerable sectors check (completed within the past 12 months)
• Demonstrate acommitmentto client care through reliability and flexibility
• Availabilityto work across mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights including every other weekend - this way we can build you a great schedule
• Have a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (completed within the past 12 months)
• Have valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with proof of insurance
• Are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or temporary residentsof Canada with a valid open work permit with a minimum of six months priorto expiration.
• Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset
• Have internet access through a mobile device
• Have high energy and drive to deliver excellent care through strong communication skills
