Qualifications

• Certified PSW or equivalent with minimum one year experience.
• Proficient in communicating in English (verbal and written).
• Able to provide care in home settings anywhere within the city of Ottawa.
• Must have a valid police vulnerable sectors check (within past 12 months).
• Demonstrate reliability and flexibility in client care.
• TB skin test or chest x-ray within past 12 months.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance.
• Citizen, permanent resident, or open work permit holder (with at least 6 months before expiry).
• Availability mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights including every other weekend.
• Other language skills are an asset.
• Internet access via mobile device.
• High energy and strong communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to, assisting with daily activities, personal care, assisting with mobility, light housekeeping, effective reporting and creating activity plans.

Choice Homecare/Healthcare requires candidates who:

• Are Certified Personal Support Workers or equivalent (HSW, HCA, RPN, RN, foreign trained health professional) with a minimum one year experience
• Are proficientin communicatingin English (verbal and written)
• Are able to provide care in home settings anywhere within the city of Ottawa
• Have a valid police vulnerable sectors check (completed within the past 12 months)
• Demonstrate acommitmentto client care through reliability and flexibility
• Have a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (completed within the past 12 months)
• Have valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with proof of insurance
• Are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or temporary residentsof Canada with a valid open work permit (with a minimum of six months priorto expiration.)
• Availabilityto work across mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights including every other weekend - this way we can build you a great schedule
• Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset
• Have internet access through a mobile device
• Have high energy and drive to deliver excellent care through strong communication skills
