Job summary

VON Canada is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide person‑centred care in clients’ homes across Mississauga. You’ll support daily living, help develop care plans, assist with bathing, grooming and mobility, prepare meals, and perform light housekeeping to promote comfort and independence.

You must hold a PSW or DSW certification, be willing to travel between homes, have a valid driver’s license with vehicle insurance, possess First Aid/CPR, and provide a satisfactory Criminal Records

Qualifications

• PSW or DSW certification required.
• Nursing students who completed first year of RPN or BScN are eligible to apply.
• First Aid Certificate or CPR Level C (where applicable)
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance proof
• Criminal Records Check on file
• Ability to wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

About the role:

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you'll use your training to provide person-centred care, support daily living, and help clients stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. What we are looking for:

• Personal Support Worker or Developmental Services Worker certification
• Nursing students who have completed first year of RPN or BScN or internationally educated nurses are eligible to apply
• Must have a current Standard First Aid Certificate or CPR level C Certificate, if applicable to the work being performed
• Must enjoy driving, have a personal vehicle and possess both a current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
• A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
