ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Milton, ON team. You will provide essential in-home care, support clients with ADLs, and offer companionship to improve quality of life.

The role emphasizes reliable, client-first service, ability to work independently, and adherence to individualized care plans. CPR/First Aid certification and Vulnerable Sector Check are expected; transportation to client homes is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or PSW preferred.
• PSW certificate or equivalent training required.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to pass PSW/Home Health Aide assessments (DEARS).
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check required.

• Assist clients with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support mobility, transfers and ambulation as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation.
• Monitor and report changes in client health or condition to supervisors.
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands or transportation.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant, PSW, or in a related caregiving role preferred
• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to pass the PSW, Home Health Aide Assessment
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
• Access to reliable transportation to travel to client homes
