Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our Milton, ON team, delivering in-home care and support to clients in their own homes.

The role focuses on assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, aiding mobility, meal prep, and documentation while upholding a client-first approach. A PSW certificate is preferred, with strong English skills and reliable transportation essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.

• Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors.
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands or transportation.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant, PSW, or in a related caregiving role preferred
• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to pass the PSW, Home Health Aide Assessment
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
• Access to reliable transportation to travel to client homes
