Your role with clients

As a caring, responsible healthcare team member, you will support clients to be as safe and independent as possible in their homes, helping them live their best lives. You will provide personal care in clients' homes or community locations, assist with mobility and light exercises, and observe, document, and report any changes in their condition to your supervisor. Light housekeeping tasks may be required as per client care plans.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Personal Support Worker Certificate or valid certification as a Home Support Worker, Home Support Worker Level II or III, Healthcare Aide, or Personal Attendant
• Students enrolled in healthcare programs or with valid certificates (e.g., Nursing, Rehab, Paramedicine, Developmental Support Worker, RN, RPN, Practical Nurse, Midwife, Physician)
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR (Level C) Certification
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within last 12 months)
• Proof of negative TB test (within last 12 months) and up-to-date immunizations
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance for community travel
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Strong verbal and written English skills; multilingual abilities are a plus
• Reliability and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg) safely
