Job summary

SE Health is hiring Personal Support Workers (PSW) for community care shifts in Campbellford, Hastings, Roseneath and surrounding areas. Roles include full-time or part-time day and evening hours with paid travel between clients.

A $500 sign-on bonus and extensive benefits support professional growth and teamwork across Canada. We require a valid PSW certificate or nursing credentials, immunization, CPR/First Aid, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for daily work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily.
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus.
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC).
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid.
• Availability to work day/evenings and every other weekend.
• This is a physically demanding position with lifting up to ~55 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal support services in community care settings.
• Travel between client locations; mileage and travel time paid.
• Support clients to maintain independence and activities of daily living.
• Adhere to health, safety, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)

• Availability to work day/evenings and every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
