Job summary

SE Health is hiring Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for Community Care in Port Colborne and surrounding areas. This role is available as full- or part-time and includes mileage reimbursement, travel time, and a mobile device with uniforms provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid PSW certificate or be RN/RPN or nursing student with clinical placements.
• Current CPR Level C certification and up-to-date immunizations required.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for daily use.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal support to clients in community settings.
• Assist with mobility, daily living activities, and hygiene.
• Follow individualized care plans and document care provided.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, and Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate
• Availability to work eveningsand every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
