Job summary

SE Health is hiring Part Time Personal Support Workers for Community Care in Hamilton and surrounding areas. You’ll drive to client homes, support daily living activities and promote wellbeing with a dedicated team across Canada.

We offer mileage coverage, on-demand pay and uniforms, with opportunities for growth in a supportive environment. Availability for night shifts on weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid PSW certificate or nursing credential.
• Immunization requirements and a current Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Current Standard CPR level C is required.
• Availability to work 11:00pm–7:00am on alternate Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal support services to clients in community care.
• Maintain safety and assist with activities of daily living.
• Complete documentation and coordinate with care team.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, and Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate
• Availability to work11:00pm-7:00am every other Saturday and Sunday
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
