Job summary

SE Health is hiring Full Time PSWs for Community Care in Markham and Richmond Hill. You will provide personal care, support daily living activities, and work with a collaborative team to meet client needs.

The role requires a valid PSW certificate, CPR/First Aid, and a driver’s license for travel between clients. Availability includes days and evenings with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker certificate.
• RN or RPN considered.
• Nursing student with 2 clinical placements completed.
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma.
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse remits.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients in community settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Follow care plans and document progress, notify supervisor as needed.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
• Availability to work days OR evenings and every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
