Job summary

SE Health is hiring part-time Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care in Leamington and surrounding areas. The role offers mileage and travel time reimbursement, a $500 sign-on bonus, and competitive benefits.

ROS funding of $10,000 is available for eligible PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment to work full-time. Applicants should hold a valid PSW certificate; RN/RPN or nursing student status with clinical placements are also considered.

Qualifications

• Valid PSW certificate or license.
• RN/RPN or nursing student with clinical placements.
• Developmental Support Worker Diploma or foreign trained nurse qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to clients in community settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as required.
• Follow care plans and report changes to supervisors.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus and Covid
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate
• Availability to work days, eve and every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty‑five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
