RNS Health Care Services Inc. in Markham, Ontario is seeking compassionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our home healthcare team.

You will provide quality care and support to clients in their homes and other care settings, including personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and companionship. Qualifications

• PSW certificate from a program approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities or the Ministry of Education.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past six months.
• Proof of a negative two-step TB Skin Test (Mantoux) completed within the past two years.
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care needs (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers with safety in mind.
• Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry, keeping living area clean).
• Engaging clients in meaningful activities and providing companionship.
• Observing and reporting changes in clients’ condition to healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and completing required reports.

What You’ll Do

As a Personal Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

• Performing light housekeeping tasks, including tidying, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
• Engaging clients in meaningful activities and providing companionship.
• Observing and reporting changes in clients’ physical or mental condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and completing required reports.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Qualifications & Certifications

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a program approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities or the Ministry of Education.

• Previous experience in home care or a similar environment is preferred.
